Location

Wybourn House, Quay Street, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 5UL

There are two pubs very close to the house approximately 200m to the left and 100m to the right. Food is good and both are pleasant for a quiet pint. Late night revellers should head up The Avenue where you will also find pubs showing sports, restaurants and a couple of takeaways.

The nearest supermarkets are Co-op on the main high street plus Morrisons and Tesco on the outskirts of town near to Butlins. Butlins usually has day passes available for those wanting to use their facilties.

There are stunning walks all around Minehead along the coast and into Exmoor. The 630 mile South West Coastal Path all the way to Poole in Dorset starts on your doorstep if you take a left. And the 25 mile West Somerset Coast Path to Blue Anchor and the Quantock Hills runs in the opposite direction if you turn right. There is a monument on the seafront outside the house that signals the start of both paths. We love the South West Coastal path. The first part of the walk leads you over the cliffs for about 6-7 miles to a tea shop in Bossington. Then a further 2-3 miles on to the quaint coastal villages of Porlock and Porlock Weir. There is an ordinance survey map in the house for your use and more details can be found at www.southwestcoastpath.com.
